Friend vs. Food

I feel so blessed to be surrounded by wonderful people around me. They're always kind, caring, easy going and friendly too. Eventhough we came from different racial backgrounds, but we are very close with each other.

Last Friday, we had a small gathering at my workplace. Potluck is the usual arrangement to any of our events. Thus, each of us has to bring our own special dish, which represents their infused mix-race cookings skills, technique and taste. Amazingly, food always brings us together as can we talk about healthy eating habits and exchange views on healthy lifestyle as well as help us make healthier choices on what to put on our plate.

We have been planning for this gathering since 2 weeks ago. This brilliant idea came from one of my colleagues, Madam Zainon and I wish this will continue forever. Not only we can enjoy our food, but also able to strengthen our relationships as colleagues to build up a healthy work environment.

Good food with good company can never go wrong. Even sweeter when shared with those who are dearly to your heart and have the same interest in food. That's the key to our friendships.

Regardless of what food makes us do, good friends who are genuine will always lead us to do more good than harm. That is the real reason they are hard to find. Your friends are your mirror that are reflecting your true self. Treasure them as long as we live.
