I played before entering Steemit this kind of lottery and I finally lost it. This kind of program is made to win the house.
This is a better deal than some delegating is, though! You will get a passive income of Steem from the magic tokens you collect. I think of it as a delegation to the dapp and will only pay out an amount of Steem that I would be comfortable delegating.

I'm glad I don't have a gambling issue, but I do realize it can be a problem for some people.
Surely! I have had problems but I managed to stop in time. Now I do not have enough Steem to try so I will not.
