So many things to see in the city. This fire escape configuration completely fascinates me. This is not something I see in my rural neighborhood!

Ha, ha, ha @melinda010100. After you've gone to all that trouble I prefer the coloured version, mailny because of the dark blob in the bottom left.

I like the color best because it showed more detail. I could.brighten up the blob...I didn't take much time with the B&W!
I'm often surprised by my black and white photographs @melinda010100. Ones I think will look good, don't necessarily and one's I think need to be colour can look good.

It would be a danger that those emergency stairs can be used by all the neighbors together at once.

I like firescapes too but you don't see those here, I've only seen those in the movies.
They film a lot of movies in Chicago...I wonder if these fire escapes have ever been in a movie? They look like to me like they should be.
Maybe these already have been in some movies. Who knows?
