Old coin market pick ups.
South African coins made in 1965 are know as really rare, like the old 50 cent and especially the 1 rand, they can go for a really high price, yet they are extremely hard to find, so I was planning on getting the whole years of 1965 circulated coins, I managed to find the 5 cent and 10 cent.
The rest of the coins where just collected because I notice I did not have the old 50 cent , and I picked up a few nickels, the story of the Nicole’s was that there was this guy at the market with a bag full of nickels, he said about 200 nickles, now I know nickels made in the war time from 1942-1945 have 35% silver. I went through the whole bag and they where just newly made nickels, and the oldest one I could find was 1946, I would of loved to collect me an old silver nickel, but looks like it wasn’t that day for it. So I just picked up a few random old dates for my collection.
Like I said in my previous blog I’ve been having an appetite for old silver coins, been really looking hard out for them this side so far none really, beside overpriced junk coins that look really bad.
Should be soon getting an album for all the coins when I go to the coin shop, I think I’m tired of making my own coin holdings and placing them them individually in money bags that I get from the bag, I really love looking after my coins that’s one thing

Nice old coins, it's really hard to find nice circulated coins. I don't have a local coin shop where i live so i found a few different ways to find them. Youtube has some cool people who like to trade and sell.
