Resourceful Hacker Chronicles Day Four
I guess you are wondering if the Bitcoin auditors or miners are listening to the same port as those machines which are being used as nodes or super nodes of the Bitcoin network. Let us take a simple tour of the world of hackers again by using free web applications.
Let us examine this IP address which is being pointed by one web application as the miner of of one Bitcoin transaction which is roughly worth around $1,200.
Bingo!We have seen that we have for ourselves a machine which is specifically listening to port 8333 and is pointed by one web application as a miner. We just profiled our very first miner.
We have a new intel(lligence information) coming from a free web application that this machine mined a transaction which worth more than half a million dollars.
This machine is also a fan of the Bitcoin network and we can list it down as a potential miner. We are not 100% sure if it really is a miner. A machine has to be given the benefit of the doubt. That is what I call hacker comedy central. I hope you are not laughing or else I will be on your late night viewing habit.
The third target in this series has mined a total $12,000 worth of Bitcoin transaction. Probe the port my friend.
We will give this machine the benefit of the doubt that it deserves. Maybe it is not a miner. It is just my imagination. Well, goodbye for now. See you again soon.
