The Aqua Shard London
Another one of my food conquests during my fine dining binge was the Aqua Shard London.
The Aqua is located on the 31st floor of The Shard which itself is one of the tallest buildings in Europe. Iconic as it's exterior design, the Aqua stands out in it's own right for it's interior design. High ceilings with hanging lights and massive French windows surround the dining area giving an unparalleled view of the night time London skyline.
Breathtaking views of London make for an easy conversation piece and thus, the food is almost the secondary reason for the visit. However, given the obvious reason to neglect the quality of food, Aqua remains a strong contender for fulfilling the connoisseurs needs. Dishes feature a combination of staple British cooking, as well as modern European infused classics.
Some of my favourite dishes from the night include the Longhorn dry-aged beef sirloin with roasted bone marrow, as well as the roasted halibut with cockles and grilled langoustines.
After dinner, the Aqua offers a 3 storey bar called the Atrium which itself is famous for it's very rounded list of drinks as well as outrageous signature cocktails. My favourite would have to be the Battenberg martini, but the Devonshire cream cup is justifiably expensive and also worth a dip.
It is no wonder this restaurant has been rated highly ever since it's opening. I for one will be visiting as regularly as possible. There is something addictive with viewing nighttime London from the sky.

What a view - awesome 🤩
Nothing like eating and watching a nice view, always gives you a beautiful smile on your face.
Gorgeous - good to hear the food matched the view. It can often be hard to find highly rated food at "tourist" like restaurants at the top of tall buildings, at least here in the US.
