Bentleys Oyster Bar
Bentleys Oyster Bar
By now, people understand the importance of enjoying seafood fresh. Not only is it quenching to the desire of the taste buds, but also the best for nutrition. It's also frequently praised as the de-facto natural food for boosting libido. Yes, it is an aphrodisiac for those who want to spice up their bedroom shenanigans. Ahem!
Besides the point, it is also a great booster for zinc, a natural element in our body which protects us from antigens. This immune boosting property means that regular supplementation of zinc through foods or other sources can reduce the risk of becoming sick with common cold and even remedy a cold before it latches on.
Zinc is also needed for sense of smell and taste, breaking down carbohydrates, cell growth, healing, and cell division. Is it a wonder then, that eating Oysters is often touted as a miracle food?
Bentley's are not just a famous high end luxury car maker, they are also London's premier Oyster restaurant. Actually the restaurant is the oldest of it's kind, celebrating 100 years since it's opening. It's located just off Regent Street and so is perfectly situated for the classy demographic.
In 2005, it was acquired by the famous chef, Richard Corrigan and he managed to turn the business around during it's toughest times.
One of the draws of the restaurant is it's views. Whether you go during the day or night, it offers some of the best landscape views of the city anywhere to be found. The atmosphere is calm and chill, but definitely not boring. You will probably find people dressed to impress there as it is frequently visited by the more affluent of society.
At about 2.50 pounds per oyster, it is actually very reasonably priced given it's setting and target market.
Aside from the usual selection of Oysters from around the world, you can also find a variety of other seafoods on offer. Platters, fish, shell fish, and even Steaks can be ordered. It is well rounded in it's offering but you will be missing the point if you ordered less Oysters because of it's other offerings - the Oysters are after-all the main highlight.
Damn those oysters looked good! Now Im hungry...
