My First Experience with Digital Painting

I've always like painting since I was young. I love mixing the colours together and seeing it spread out across the paper, turning into a creation of my own making. However, recently I wanted to try something new, so I decided to try digital painting.

I downloaded an application called, Sketchbook, from the App Store on to my computer. I didn't go in expecting much I just wanted to have fun creating something. I tried drawing a girl's face, just trying to test out the tools they have, sadly it did not go well, but I wasn't going to give up that easily. I looked through some tutorials and when I found the one that I liked, tried to recreate the image that the artist designed. And this is my result...

Granted, its nothing near as good as the original, but for me, this is good enough for now. It is my first try after all, and I'll always try to improve myself in the future.
