One of the most difficult parts of the human body to imitate is the hand given its complexity. Shadow Robot Company designs and develops robotic hands as realistic as possible.
This company has received the 2019 AIconics Award for the Best Artificial Intelligence Hardware and also the Queen's Awards for Enterprise 2019 in the Innovation category.
The robotic hand has 129 sensors and 24 joints, with movements very similar to human hands, including those of the thumb or even the flexion of the palm to move the little finger.
This skillful manual simulation model will be integrated into the HBP-Neurorobotics Platform simulation platform, which will allow researchers in neuroscience and other clients to explore learning paradigms and control models.
