Different names for the Nile
In different parts of its current the Nile has different names. The beginning of the river is Kagera, the main source of which is Rukarara, flowing into Mvoy, which in turn flows into Nyavorongo, and she, at the confluence with Ruvu, finally forms Kageru, flowing into Lake Victoria. The origin of the names of these rivers is not established.
The next section to Lake Albert is called Victoria-Nile, then to the tributary Achva - Albert-Nile, after - Bahr el-Jebel (Arab mountain river). Only after the confluence of the left tributary of El-Ghazal into the river does the river get the name White Nile (Arab Bahr al-Abyad - white river). The main name, the Nile, the river has below the confluence with the largest tributary of the Blue Nile. Three tributaries of the White Nile have names associated with the color: Sobat (Arab Bahr El-Asfar - yellow river), Blue Nile (Arab Bahr al-Azraq - blue river), Atbara (Arab Bahr El Aswad - black river) - the right tributary below Khartoum.
Apparently the names in the colors are not accidental and have an undisclosed symbolic meaning
