Different perspectives on the Petro

The picture in this article shows, that it is no easy to decide what is really happening in Venezuela. Probably you see it differently depending on which media you are consuming in this country.

There are different perspectives to look at this new Petro coin. Either it is seen as a government fighting against the US empire and releasing this coin to survive or it is a planned attack on other cryptocurrencies used in this country and elsewhere. It could be planned to create a ressource based decentral/central cryptocurrency to show that the other currencies are not backed by anaything.
Dirk Müller, a German stock market analyst, said about this, that the next (world) reserve currency will be a cryptocurrency.

I cannot help you to answer the question, if it is a good idea to invest in Petro neither in an ethical, moral nor monetarian aspect. It is definitely possible to make some fast money. But do not invest much. There is no use for a backed cryptocurrency. But keep this in mind.
The people in the West tend to see an regime change there which is definitely correct but never forget that many people on steemit see the problems of their gouvernements and do not want to live in this structures or reform them...

And never forget to use cash sometimes, when buying stuff because all the effort made by using Monero, Verge or Zcash can also be done if you just buy your stuff with cash...
