SITREP: Access must be gained to the missile silo. The Spetsnaz technical squad await your arrival en-route

It's a happy Sunday and it's my fourth Walkthrough. I'm seriously working on moving up the pace and reducing the space between my Walkthroughs so as not to kill the thrill. Well, we've come this far not to die in this mission but to sweep out hostiles. Apparently similar to the last mission they are aware of our presence, they just haven't locked down on our position. Going silent may not change anything . Could it be the missile silo? Or related to the Spetsnaz technical squad? Let's find out.

The environment is quite large this time around and we have a lot to cover. The joy in the drone view is the ability to scan the whole environment up till the exit point. That way, you are prepared for what's coming. But ehhh.. I can see snipers, turrets and security cameras lurking behind covers like their existence depends on the team's corpse. We have a long road ahead of us. I have changed reed's gun by the way, the vector KIO appears to be a slow poke. I haven't really unlocked the assault guns, I'm only using the default assault. At least it's better than the Vector KIO that seems to me, more like a short gun, a sub machine gun at that.

Now we appear to be in the middle of an inadvertent war. Reed was only testing his newly acquired gun when the hostile hear the gunshots. We are sooo... We are told that the enemies are now coming in from all sides and we need to neutralize them before synching with friendlies. They only heard the sounds of gunshots, they don't see us. We use that to our advantage and we capitalize on their panic, the memo is; Wait for reload, shoot to kill. The barricades and low steeps are doing much more than a cover right now, even reed takes out a sniper from an almost impossible angle. It's our moment. We can't possibly stay behind cover for too long though. Reed is out in the open, climbing a building in order to eliminate some hostiles from afar, Marshall hasn't made any kill yet, he has only been trailing reed since the start. Can I keep this up till the end?

A sneak peek from the drone view to the top of the building shows alot of hostiles camped, even with a mini gun. These trigger-happy hostiles appear to care less about their bullet rounds, they just keep firing to an "unknown enemy". It's all reed at the moment as he ducks to head shoot an enemy, the second one tried to prove he wasn't a soft meat but Reed equally made a hole in his brain. The third one with the mini gun was the easiest, a grenade from behind sent him all "I believe I can fly". There are still two hostiles left panic-shooting. Are they untrained? Reed waits for their reload and gets behind the mini gun.

Doomsday!!!

1001 enemies immediately respond to the threat. It took few seconds before Reed found his composure and he takes them all out. It's not easy mastering the mini gun. One has to pause at intervals and not fire continuous unnecessary rounds else, it will lead to an automatic 3-5 seconds stop due to overheating and you don't get to decide when it stops, could be right in the middle of a free-for-all. Not to forget, Marshall is still down the building as Reed revels in the euphoria of his new weapon. He is right in front if a gate now and he needs to hack the terminal.

And now we are to RV(Rendezvous) with the Spetsnaz technical squad and we are to only kill if we can remain undetected. Looks like I have to bring Marshall along now. I will try to keep him sparingly far apart, if he is too close he would shoot hostiles autonomously, I just wanna see if Reed can make all the kills without any help.

Oh no! Compromised!!

Just as Reed tries to regroup with the Spetsnaz technical squad, a moving truck interrupts. Apparently, it is going into the bunker where the Silo is located and it is imperative I get into the bunker. The truck makes a stop just right outside the bunker, guarded by turrets and snipers. Reed coils up with the Spetsnaz team and they take another route to the bunker location. Marshall's mission is to get into the Bunker. Looks like Kills are unavoidable for Marshall. Conversely, he is all alone. What a twist of fate. Urrgh!

To make things harder, he us to remain out of sight in his approach. I just hope the sound of the alarm won't terminate the mission. Marshall sneaks up to his first target and takes him out. The drone view helps him locate two hostiles just ahead of him with their backs turned on him. That is supposed to make things easier but unfortunately, there's a camera which it's scope can only be seen from the drone view; Crossroads! Should he shoot manually, he could kill one of the two, or miss, or get spotted by the camera OR automatically via the drone view which is not precise it - it takes a longer time to kill an enemy from the drone view- it will definitely alert the other who will alert others. The odds are not in his favour. He opts for the former option and instead of shooting, throws a grenade which for some reason didn't kill the second hostile, he is alert and runs to sound the alarm. So quick!. Thankfully, the mission is not terminated.

Our objective is to gain access into the vehicle compound. Marshall steadily takes out the hostiles one at a time. The turret made things harder for him but the equipped grenades softened the battlefield. In no time, they are all gone.

Marshall climbs some crates and gets into the vehicle compound and he stows away on the top of the vehicle into a basement.

MISSION COMPLETE

Interestingly, Marshall made 12 kills after Reed - made 28 kills- left with the Spetsnaz team. My self mission failed.

See you next time.
