My exhibition just started
Hello everyone, before this summer I had a plan. I wanted to create as much paintings as I could, because I intended to organize an exhibition. The plans have changed and summer has gone too fast. I felt a bit depressed, because I compared my productivity with the previous summer. This time I had some kind of creativity crisis, I couldn´t focuse enough and miss inspiration. I made a few paintings and collages, but I expected more. I assumed it was not enough for an exhibition.
Then the school year started and I had even less time to paint. I had a lot of work with preparing timetables andd all documentation for students, meeting new ones, and so on. But at this time I got a new energy for painting. I have seen some new techniques I wanted to try and felt really excited about it. Some new paintings were created and a few days ago I got a call from a headmaster. His friend organize art exhibitions in spa and one artist canceled his exhibition just a week before it should start, so they asked me.
There was space for maybe 15 paintings, so I was prepared to exhibit. I had only two days to prepare everything, so I made a poster quickly and yesterday I set the paintings on a wall.
I named the exhibition "Searching". My artworks are always about searching for beauty and ideals. I paint with watercolors and acrylics, but the themes are diverse. That is why it seems to me like I wish to find something perfect.
The dominant was a painting of a kingfisher, so I used this painting for a poster.
In conclusion, my plan to exhibit was conducted, despite the fact I gave up. I am grateful for all opportunities life gives me.
