hurling of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and NagasakisteemCreated with Sketch.

Everyone  acknowledges that the hurling of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and  Nagasaki by the Americans was a terrible tragedy for the Japanese people  and that the terrible consequences for their people continue to be sick  and dying to this day. The debate continues over whether the use of atomic bombs against Japan is justified. For example, there is a widespread belief in the United States that  nothing like the nuclear genocide in Hiroshima and Nagasaki forced Japan  to surrender, and that saved the lives of several thousand American and  British soldiers, the Chinese and the Soviets, and even the Japanese  themselves

But  at the same time, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill said at the  time that Japan had been forced to surrender not because of the US  atomic bomb, but because the Soviet Union had entered the war. This view  was known by any Russian student, but was in the West. Thus,  the article by the British historian Ward Wilson, "Stalin within four  days, has been able to do what the United States could not have done in  four years" has been alive to many Western readers. Wilson  is the author of "Five Legends on Nuclear Weapons" which convincingly  refutes the view that the Pacific War was put to an end by nuclear  bombardment. Because  at that moment the American fighters were receiving conventional bombs  on dozens of Japanese cities, killing hundreds of thousands of dead. But the Japanese high command believed that these problems were  working to unite the nation and strengthen the desire for resistance
Against  this backdrop, the destruction of Hiroshima on 6 August 1945 did not  leave the impression of Japanese leaders at first, and this impression  did not change after the injured man was subjected to broad daylight on 9  August. The  turning point came only when Prime Minister Kana Suzuki said the same  day during an emergency meeting of the Supreme War Management Council.  "The Soviet Union's involvement in the war this morning puts us in a  difficult position and makes it impossible to continue the war," he  said. There  is no doubt that the result will be the same without resorting to the  nuclear nightmare that was imposed on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. But the Americans acknowledged that the nuclear stick was necessary to pressure the Soviet Union.
Living under the ongoing nuclear threat is uncomfortable. Andre Ivan notes that, however, to achieve a world free of nuclear  weapons, it is not enough to put an end to the tragedy of Hiroshima and  Nagasaki
We  must frankly admit that, unfortunately, today in many countries nuclear  weapons remain the only guarantee on which they depend. For example, Israel. But  by the way, if the existence of nuclear weapons in Israel is not  opposed by the United States, the desire to obtain a nuclear bomb in  Pyongyang will cause a storm of discontent. But we must emphasize that North Korea's nuclear weapons are the key to saving the country. Washington, which is replacing regime after regime, refuses to give Pyongyang any guarantees of immunity. This is also true of Iran.
In  short, if there were no other credible guarantees against any external  aggression that any country could be subjected to, the dream of a world  free of nuclear weapons would remain a dream

I gave you the full vote but do not agree on this article. Yes, nuclear weapons are a last resort and should not exist but they do. One of the interesting things about North Korea is that it can have peace any time it wants.

Really, this is a true that the United States can steamroll the country into nothing without nuclear weapons any time it wants. This is true.

The North Koreans for reasons of their own wish the regime that have and what is funny or perhaps really odd is that many people do not realize that the United States saved the Soviet Union and North Korea. This is very true.

The United States provided arms, ammunition, aircraft, supplies, armor, and all things to the Soviet Union during World War II.

The Soviet Union was woefully backward in technology compared to the Germans at the beginning of the war. For Russians, this has almost always been the case in history. Don;t get me wrong, the Russians are tough.

Also, you must realize that the Japanese are as tough as nails. They have been attacked by China and remained free for thousands of years. It is because they are tough and legendary warriors. Japanese at that time fought to the death. If they failed in a mission they killed themselves by seppuku also known as hari kari (sp?)

To a Japanese, a suicide mission to achieve an objective is nothing. Many times, their officers refused to use a gun during World War II. They used a samurai sword or a bow.

Countless Russians perished in World War II before they finally gained the upper hand.

One must always remember that record keeping then was not what it was today. If someone had no birth certificate or was uneducated, it did not matter in the world back then not so long ago.

My grandfather was a very decorated soldier with so many medals it was unbelievable. He only made it through the third grade.

The world was so different that it is unknown to the people of today. In the United States, most people still lived on family farms. Today, that is almost all gone. Corporate farms have replaced almost all.

Again, the Japanese were so tough, that the United States saved many a country, even China.

i think that was the most cruel act of America in the history when the two atomic war heads "fat man and Little boy are bombed on these two cities , thousands of people died because of this deadliest act i think it will be remember in all times may God forgive all the holy souls of that attack and great post it is i think all should be know about this attack

Unfortunately, the decision against humanity in my view is the worst thing (thanks for comment)

same feelings i have and agree with you dear

Congratulations for the great work you are doing @ mars9, thank you very much for sharing

Really interesting post dear @mars9! =)

The atomic bomb was a tragedy for the people of Japan, particularly those families in Nagasaki and Hiroshima. When the bombs were dropped, there was no consideration for the targets......They dropped the bombs on innocent women, children and men who had nothing to do with the war. They didn't target the military who engaged in the war which to this day I question why not? While I was working as an Occupational Therapist in Hawaii, I treated many patients who had blood cancer as a result of the atomic bomb exposure 30-40 years later. They were young children outside of the cities that were attacked. They suffered through all these years, never getting well. It was really sad. It is hoped that mankind will one day grow up and learn from his/her past. Thank-you for remembering the atomic bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima.......Cabbagepatch
