Delayed Upvoting And Beneficiary Setting Bot: $rewarding (by @holger80)
One annoying feature of HF20 has been having to wait for 15 minutes before upvoting a comment in order to not lose a part of your curation rewards to the reward pool. Before HF20, if I voted between 0 and 15 minutes after a comment was posted, the author of the comment would get the rewards which I thought was ok. But them going back to the pool? Not cool.
Fortunately, @holger80 coded a helper bot that takes care of the delayed voting for you. You only have to give it your posting authority using SteemConnect and you can summon the bot whenever you respond to a comment by adding a simple command to your comment. The command takes the form: "$rewarding x% and y min" where x is the voting weight and y is the desired delay. The default time is 15 minutes and it is used if the time parameter is left out. The bot can also set beneficiaries like this:
$rewarding set account1:x%,account2:y% upvote 100% z min
where x and y are the percentages of the rewards the beneficiary accounts get and z is the number of minutes of the delay. Setting the beneficiaries may not work if a vote has arrived before the beneficiaries have been set in a transaction initiated by the bot.
