The Highest Mountain Peak of Venezuela is Pico Bolivar at 4,978 m

It is in the western part of the country in the Venezuelan Andes in Merida State. Pico Bolivar is located at 08°32′30″ northern latitude.

Interestingly, Venezuela is not just rainforest or savannah. It has all the temperature zones represented from the hot and humid tropical lowlands to the glacial at the highest altitudes.

Here's an image of Venezuela with the climate zones marked:

Climate zones of Venezuela

The single largest climate zone is the savannah (light blue). The savannah is characterized by distinct rainy and dry seasons but relatively even annual temperature distribution. There even seems to be a small dry desert zone in the northwest. The existence of that zone is caused by being located immediately to the west of coastal mountains that cause the prevailing northeasterly trade winds blowing them it to lose their moisture content by forcing them to rise and cool down, which is when condensation happens. The exact same phenomenon causes the western side of Hawaii to be much drier than the eastern side.

Here in Venezuela despite having no seasons, there are several ecosystems, we can see desert, snow, beach, savanna and jungle

Well, you do have seasons but not the same seasons as in the temperate zone. The savannah, that is, most of the country has dry and wet seasons.

Friend I am from Venezuela, I feel very honored that you speak of my country and its climate, to be very cincero a lot of Venezuelans, love Venezuela, but I regret to say that the ignorant are more, they are deceived all the time by a well organized group of criminals who occupy positions in the government, I think in other post I have told you, the point is in, thanks to those guys our country is currently going through a terrible situation of generalized hunger and other things, not I deny that even many of us have access to many benefits but the cost is very, very high. In Venezuela there are no stations but we can say that there are literally, we have areas as you explain on the map that could have the feeling of those weather and Merida is one of them because it has a rainy season, one of something similar to autumn , another very close to summer, and the cold season that is from July and August.

Again, thank you, for mentioning my country, in your post.

Esta es mi badera, por una Venezuela Libre

This is my flag, for a Free Venezuela

how funny I've never been out of my state, @markkujantunen Thank you for taking the trouble to pay a visit to my beautiful country

Sometimes it feels as hot as hell - full arid

A country with beautiful climate and nature but also a fucked up situation going on

Yes a beautiful country with a very bad government

Have you been to Merida state and the mountains there?

Yes as a young man I went several times, besides climbing the Bolivar peak and enjoying a colder climate there is a tourist attraction called the Venezuela de Antier, which is a theme park that represents the Venezuela of the 20s

Sounds like an interesting theme park. Some people would get mountain sickness at that altitude or much lower. I know people who couldn't summit Mt. Kilimanjaro because of mountain sickness.

It has all the temperature zones

This is a similarity with some tropical countries. However they are not having it good with finances there. I hope the Petrocoin becomes a huge one to take them away from financial crisis.

I think the crisis was brought about both a collapse in oil price and mismanagement. What authoritarian governments such as that of Venezuela have a tendency to do is order the central bank to print more currency to maintain liquidity. That, unfortunately, can render the currency unusable. Enter Bitcoin and the people have another alternative medium of exchange in addition to USD. The use of alternative media of exchange has a tendency to further erode people's trust in the government. I think the Petrocoin is but a feeble attempt at wresting some of that trust - and control - back. I'm afraid it will not do much end the financial crisis, which was brought about by the government spending too much of the oil revenue in order to buy the people's support. When a major source of revenue is lost, there are only two alternatives: harsh cutbacks or printing a lot more money both of which result in the same: misery.

@markkujantunen impresses me and I am proud that a person from another country highlight our landscapes, I give you infinite graces in the name of all Venezuelans. Today you won my vote and one more follower. God bless you.

This is a very high mountain i didn't know Venezuela have such part

keep up with those nice facts

I wasn't aware of any part of the Andes being part of Venezuela's territory, either.

I would tell you the tale about the highest mountain peak.
But I feel that I should be a bit more serious, Thursday serious, and not talk about my dong-dong.
Have you ever been in Venezuela?

No, I haven't.

You should, then we can compare whos mountain peak is bigger.

Wooow, that looks stunning :o. Lucky you to be there :D xx

Alright, Hope you could visit and post it on steem in near future :D

That would be nice but I highly doubt it.

Why would you doubt about it :o? we never know what/where life takes us :D.Well, I never thought that I would be living in Finland. I wanted to go to Norway to work but here I'm in suomi :D, I dont regret about it either :)

Well, it is true that surprises happen. It's just that tickets to halfway across the world aren't cheap, particularly if you're travelling with your family. Besides, I have no desire whatsoever to spend money on travel for quite some time. Just bought a house and moved. Moving is a huge money pit in the short term. I do not want to travel and I'm hoping that the rest of the family would not get any ideas for at least a year, either.

Oh yes, Its very understandable though. But we have this new hope called #steemit. so eventually may be we could use this extra money for other purposes in life. Every little helps. Eventually more platforms will show up in a very near future who would help us to make a bit of extra money here and there. Too bad right now I don't have any voting power yet, even when I upvote to people's post its still showing zero,I dont know how much steem poweer should I gather.when I have more I'll give back to you :), thanks for your support xx
