Life Is Like A Sunday!

Your life is like a Sunday, yet not any Sunday and here is what I mean:

Procrastination

When I was studying at University I sometimes had these Sundays off where I only had to read 1 chapter, or maybe analyse one case, and then that would be it. It would take me about 1 hour or 90 minutes. Usually I procrastinated my ass off resulting in a really, really sucky day. I would get up, postpone starting and then around 11:00 in the morning would read 4 pages. I would get bored, do something else. Continue after lunch, and then would finally finish around 19:00 in the evening. This way it would take me a whole day to do something that can be done in an hour. Even worse, I would feel bad the whole day. Ashamed because I hadn't finished, and bad because I had more stuff to do.

We Must All Endure Pain, That of Hard Work or Regret

You gotta love Jim Rohn, the quote above is his. Ey, listen up! Your life is like that Sunday I just described. It's up to you. You can work really hard in the first couple of years, and do the stuff I talk about when it comes to creating financial freedom, and you can be retired by the time you're 40. Or you can drag it out, postpone responsibilities and your whole life will be a disappointment, a drag, feeling ashamed you could have done more and should have done more. Therefore start today. Start to save a bit of money every month and put it aside, at the end of the year look how much you've got and start to invest it in something proper.

Health and Love

The same goes for living a healthy lifestyle, and sharing love to people. Do not wait until you are 55 and have to stop eating red meat. Do not wait until you are 75 to start telling people you love them. It is all happening right now! Build your foundation and you can enjoy the rest of your life because of that solid ground underneath your feet. I tell people I love them, I hug my mom and dad. I spent a whole evening with an arm around my dad, and he asked me, how come you are hugging me all night son? (I never used to do that) And I told him, because I love you dad, and I want to hug you. This was hard for me to admit, but man o man, you should have seen his face light up. Why wait telling my dad that I love him until he is on his deathbed? Better tell it every single day!

Make sure you are healthy today, work out, be energised and don't drink too much coffee, don't drink any energy drinks and limit your alcohol intake to a minimum. Leave cigarets alone and avoid processed foods. Invest in your body now, you will have to use it for the rest of your life!

Conclusion

If you do not put in a lot of effort now, you will regret it for the rest of your life. Imagine what it would be like to get up at 07:00 in the morning and finish reading that chapter by 08:00. It would be party time the rest of the day. Wouldn't you want to work hard a few years, build a solid foundation in love, health and financially, so that you can enjoy the rest of your life building forward?

So often you say things expertly and I can add nothing but this is so insightful, true and good advice.

For those of you reading, pay attention. It is self dicipline and prioritizing. Choices we are in control of. Practice and see how it works!
