Happy New Year 2021 to everyone. This is a great opportunity to start the year with appropriate reflections for our platform.

When I met Steemit, I was told: “Hello, Marcy I want you to hear me first and then ask all the questions you want”.

I say this because when you talk about Steemit (it's so exciting) that sometimes we run over the words. Whoever told me about Steemit wanted me to get involved and that's why he did it in a certain order.

I do exactly the same thing. When I go to talk about Steemit I think first of the interests of my listener, and it's precisely from there (from his interests) that I speak to him.

For example if they like art, painting, writing, music, etc. I tell them that there is a platform where I'm (people love the experience) where we can show our talents in those arts and receive cryptocurrencies.

The same happens with people who like gastronomy, sports, sciences, economy, etc. First, we have to deal the interests of the people.

When one has been convincing, the second part comes, which refers to answering the questions.

When I started at Steemit I was working at a university. There it was very easy to find people interested in these new platforms. And I applied the technique described above.

Students and professors are prone to discoveries and novelties.

Unfortunately, universities in Venezuela are in a great crisis and practically closed their doors because of the Pandemic.

Now, classes are online and the teaching dynamic is different. We do not have person-to-person contact.

The way to promote Steemit is through telephone contacts with friends, that is, with people I know.

In recent times I have not brought anyone because I have been locked up by the restrictions of the Pandemic.

I will pause here. I have had several stages at Steemit. The first was when I started. Then, because of personal problems, I stayed away for a few months. The second stage was when I started learning how to operate the platform. The third stage was after March 2020 when many communities abandoned Steemit (I felt like an orphan) and steemitblog started to emerge.

The mention as the second stage was the time when I attracted more users to Steemit. The secret? The confidence I have in this platform. I talk passionately about what I like and Steemit is a place where there are always alternatives (new communities) and I love that feature.

UpVote and Comment the publications. Besides to earning cryptocurrencies, people want to communicate. If we don't make comments users are discouraged even if their posts are well rewarded.

Therefore, I manually review the platform. I'm in the worldofxpilar trail but I do my personal cures manually.

The first and greatest challenge is to prove that the platform works well. There are many uncomfortable questions, such as - why poorly written publications are better paid than others with excellent language?

In these cases, I explain that there are automatic votes. Also, a user cannot be measured by a publication but by everything he or she does.

You also have to explain that you have to have perseverance, interaction, and discipline.

At this moment I am in a new stage and a new project. I'm convinced that culture unites us and at the same time is diverse in all countries. I am Venezuelan, I love to travel and I love world culture and the culture of my country. I want to create a community where we can express ourselves and meet in cultural diversity.

I decided to start this new stage of steemit in my life in 2021 because I needed time to reflect on the project. Therefore, I'm just at the beginning of the management of this challenge and I hope to position it in the first months of this year.

I hope to have contributed my experience to this challenge.
