En esta ocasión comparto con todos ustedes, una fotografía capturada en el centro de Barquisimeto, ciudad ubicada en el occidente venezolano donde nací y actualmente resido; correspondiente al antiguo Cuartel General Jacinto Lara, una edificación diseñada y construida por el arquitecto francés Roland Coultrox, que sería inaugurada en el año 1933 por el entonces gobernador del estado Lara, general Eustoquio Gómez.

Desde el año 2008 y hasta la actualidad, es Sede del Decanato Experimental de Humanidades y Artes de la Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado y de otros organismos municipales, que comparten sus instalaciones, donde destaca su planta cuadrada con un patio interno enmarcado por el corredor perimetral por el cual se accedía anteriormente a los distintos espacios dispuestos para su uso original como edificación militar.

Las fotografía original se tomó a color, sin embargo, siendo una edificación construida a principios del Siglo XX con muchas historias a cuestas, me pareció mas apropiado editarla en Blanco y Negro, haciendo uso de la aplicación PicsArt, lo cual en mi opinión, le añade mas carácter o personalidad a las misma. Espero la disfruten.

On this occasion I share with all of you, a photograph captured in the center of Barquisimeto, a city located in western Venezuela where I was born and currently reside; corresponding to the old Headquarters General Jacinto Lara, a building designed and built by the French architect Roland Coultrox, which would be inaugurated in 1933 by the then governor of Lara state, general Eustoquio Gómez.

Since 2008 and up to the present time, it is the headquarters of the Experimental Deanship of Humanities and Arts of the Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado ("Lisandro Alvarado Mid-Western University) and other municipal agencies, which share its facilities, where its square floor stands out with an internal courtyard framed by the corridor perimeter by which previously accessed the different spaces arranged for its original use as a military building.

The original photograph was taken in color, however, being a building built in the early twentieth century with many stories in tow, I found it more appropriate to edit it in Black and White, making use of the application PicsArt, which in my opinion, adds more character or personality to them. I hope you enjoy it.
