ONE WORLD TRADE CENTER, NYC
Went into "the city" this Saturday. Rare for me leaving the 11 cats.
Went downtown to the Trade Center area to see the changes since September 11, 2001. I worked in construction down there before and after the downing of the towers.
Worked in both towers, building #7 as well as surrounding buildings. After 911... I worked in the old telephone building and financial center across the street from the disaster.
After taking some pictures of the new "One World Trade Center" building went over to view the memorial fountain pools constructed in the footprint of the twin towers.

There is still a some new buildings yet to be built as part of the complex. Map on wall shows the layout.
The memorial pools would be one acre in size, because that was how large each floor of the old towers were.
Got a picture of the "Oculus" in the distance

Man it continues to be so weird seeing these memorial pools.
Like two black holes, you cab't see the bottom.
