A really strange match... - Una partita davvero strana... (Multilanguage)

I just finished playing Pentris, the retro game I've always loved, having played it often with its older brother in the past. It's rekindled my desire to play with these intriguing cubes of various shapes, which slide down the screen at increasing speeds...

This evening, I bought a game token for 2 Steem and started my game. I'm feeling a little tired. I was more than convinced I wouldn't get a great score, that I'd soon stop. And in fact, my game seemed to be heading towards a medium-low score, a few hundred points. On the contrary, slowly, slowly, my score was increasing, more and more, 300, 400, 600, 700. My mouth was watering, I said to myself...

"You're probably wrong, dear @mad-runner, I'm going to get a very respectable score this evening?"

In fact, in some ways it was exactly like that. My final score was nice and round, a full 900 points, not a bad haul overall, except that, even though it was getting more and more difficult, I had prepared my wall to hit another row. Everything seemed fine. I was ready to achieve my goal of breaking 1,000 points, but something went wrong, something didn't go right. I wanted to speed up the descent of some tiles, I wanted to follow a certain path. I was only one tile away and practically another row, which would almost certainly have been my last row, would have been created by me. When I messed up my fingers, I made two or three tiles all land on the same central point, causing my final defeat prematurely. What a shame, a real shame because in all likelihood I would have scored between 1,100 and 1,200 points. Never mind, maybe next time it will go better...

Ho appena terminato poco fa di giocare su Pentris, il gioco Retrò che decisamente mi appassiona in quanto ho giocato spesso con il fratello maggiore in passato, per cui mi è ritornata la voglia di cimentarmi con questi intriganti cubi di varie forme, che scendono giù dallo schermo a velocità crescente...

Questa sera appunto mi sono comprato, al costo di 2 Steem, un gettone-gioco, e ho avviato la mia partita, mi sento un po' stanco, ero più che convinto che non avrei fatto un grandissimo punteggio, che presto mi sarei fermato, e in effetti la mia partita sembrava aver preso i binari di un punteggio medio-basso, di poche centinaia di punti, al contrario piano piano, lentamente, il mio punteggio progrediva, sempre più, 300, 400, 600, 700, mi stava venendo l'acquolina in bocca, mi son detto...

"Vuoi vedere che ti sbagli, caro @mad-runner, che viene fuori un punteggio di tutto rispetto questa sera??"

In effetti per certi versi è stato proprio così, il mio punteggio finale è stato bello tondo, ben 900 punti, un bottino tutto sommato niente male, se non fosse per il fatto che, seppur sempre più difficile, avevo preparato il mio muro per centrare un'altra riga, tutto sembrava a posto, ero pronto a realizzare l'obiettivo di sfondare i 1,000, ma qualcosa è andato storto, qualcosa non è andato per il verso giusto, volevo accelerare la discesa di qualche tessera, volevo fare un certo percorso, mi mancava solo una tessera e praticamente un'altra riga, che sarebbe stata quasi certamente la mia ultima riga, sarebbe stata da me realizzata, quando mi sono incasinato con le dita, e ho fatto scendere due o tre tessere tutte sullo stesso punto centrale, causando la mia sconfitta finale prematuramente, peccato, un vero peccato perché con tutta probabilità avrei fatto un punteggio compreso tra i 1,100 e i 1,200 punti, pazienza, magari la prossima volta andrà meglio...
