I used to struggle with this growing up. Eventually I realized that my skills were just different and could be just as beautiful as any painting or picture. The main thing people are looking at in art is the expression and emotion, both of which translate very nicely through words. You clearly know how to form sentences, consider poetry or just free writing like this blog and go for some expressionism. Try layering double meanings and hidden ideas behind your words that only people that understand your particular writing style will notice. It's always nice when I write a poem and someone gets it or what it's about. I actually never titled them until I started putting them on steemit and rarely even let anyone see them. Turns out people like my poetry I guess.

Words are a form of art. And based on this post you write well. But yes, I hear you about wanting to express yourself in a more visual manner. It can be learnt. Talent helps, but an unknown talent can arise if you did deep enough.

In regards to painting, I used to think I couldn't do, but then I bought canvasses and paints and got to work. I rely on creativity to get around my lack of technical skill. If you are a creative person you should find no problem doing this, and developing your own unique style of art, which other technical artists will envy 😉

I guess this post shows my newness to steemit. I completely forgot to disclose that I found that picture on imgur and it isn't mine . It is something I would love to try painting. I might still anyways
