I see the news every day.

I see people starving. People suffering. People dying. People killing.
I see the weak being cheated, exploited, murdered, used, bought and sold.
I see corporations in league with governments giving themselves license to steal, to kill, destroy and plunder.
I see people not caring, not noticing, shrugging like things are supposed to be like this, like one version of Hell after another is the best humans can do, regardless of whether our origin took place in the stars or in the muck.
I see the world being treated like a dump, like a whore slave, like a perpetual treasure chest that will take abuse forever.
I see animals and plants being used like plain resources, objects incapable of pain and suffering.
I see people treating each other the same way, as if the only good thing we have to offer each other is money.
I see scientists developing means for further control and more efficient exploitation of humanity's and Earth's potential.
I see religious luminaries misleading, lying, selling corporate agendas, abusing their followers, in bed with politicians for petty purposes.
I see organized crime ruling whole countries, and bankers selling and buying lives that have not yet been born.
I see self-described "philanthropists" using their enormous wealth to bring about draconian systems aimed at reducing liberty, instead of expanding consciousness.

I see a few good things, art and beauty, imagination and innocence, being dragged away and smashed into the rocks by the endless stream of shit that runs amok, for being "unprofitable".

And most of all, I see short-sighted, self-absorbed fools asking me why I don't wish to live a long life and why I don't want to have children.
