I too welcome the day when we can talk about mental illness with the same empathy and support the way we talk about someone with cancer for example. The shame that's attached to it is just that ... shameful!

Aww. I think you and @cicisaja know more than anyone else. I think when you come to accept each part or work through a situation, you feel empowered. You get part of yourself back. <3 :)
Your response here is the reason I'm asking you to have a look at my friend's post. You've walked in semi-similar shoes I think.
Let me know what you think? It's a bit lengthy and leaves out A LOT. I hope it helps. I know what not to say, but sometimes I think I say too much.
