My Beginning - Homemade Bar For Biceps Curls (With instructions how to make it)

Hello everybody!

I just walked by my yard and noticed one thing that woke up my memories which I want to share with you... You may be motivated, and perhaps get the idea to do such a thing.
I have always loved bodybuilding and fitness and I always wanted to try it by myself but at that time there was no gym close to me so I decided to do something about it.
I did not had enough money to buy weights and other equipment for training... So i decided to make something with my own hands!

I was 12 when I made my first bar with a weight for exercise.
I made it from empty cans into which I have poured concrete and set up the bar. When the concrete has hardened, bar was ready for exercise.
At the end it was heavy over 20 kg what was too much for me so someone always helped me until I became stronger.


What do you need to make it:

  • 2 empty cans (select the size considering by the weight you want)
  • Cement for making concrete
  • Bar

You just need to make concrete (out of water, cement and gravel) and pour it into the cans. Then put te bar into the concrete in cans and leave it overnight.
You can make it with wider bar so you can do a bench press.

This bar is great for exercises like biceps curl.

If you can't go to the gym and you workout at home, but you are already advanced, this is grat solution for you.
You can make this and exercise ni your garage, yard, room...
