How Good Is a Vegan Diet?
Hello Friends,
Here I am Lucia again trying to find a good and virtuous topic to inscribe and share at the same time to learn about.
So the topic for today is "Vegan Diet".
Come with me as I explore the benefits of consuming vegetarian food instead of following the traditional meat and vegetable diet. Lately there were concerns after my sister died of pancreatic cancer a couple of years ago and a group of cysts was found in my pancreas. Some inexplicable pain and increasing my age have warned me not to stick to my normal habits, especially in relation to food.
Some years ago, my inclination for vegetables and fruits made me plan my garden to accommodate numerous fruit trees and patches to grow them. The exercise of performing duties to maintain these things has been added to my regime.
Lately, however, I spend a lot of time sitting and writing, especially now that it's winter in the southern hemisphere. This has made a dent in my body and being aware that lack of exercise is a recipe for cancer and other health problems, my mind is made.
What can I do to avoid unwanted diseases such as cancer? After writing an article about colorectal cancer, one of the first things that comes up is the effect of red meat on the body. That's something that has come back into my diet in recent months and now it looks like poison. Maybe a vegan diet is the answer. Here is what has been discovered so far.
According to some researchers, plant-based diets are recommended because we extract our calories from products made from grains, fruits and vegetables. They postulate that 70% of all diseases, including one third of all cancers, are related to diet. They also claim that a vegetarian diet reduces the risk of obesity, coronary artery disease, high blood pressure and some cancers.
The list of preventable cancers includes colon, breast, prostate, stomach, lung and esophagus. Its low-fat qualities can also reverse conditions, such as those related to the heart. So far, in my diet there is no sugar or salt intake other than what some foods contain.
With less animal fat and cholesterol, there is more fiber and products rich in antioxidants and for me that means a better immune system in general. The conclusion is why not start today with a vegan diet? The next thing is to hunt down some good recipes to help me on my way.
It is strongly recommended that anyone who is obese or suffering from any of the conditions mentioned in this article try to change from animal-based foods to plants. That way they can see for themselves the effect they get. There is nothing to lose and for me, at least, there can be everything to win.
