Analysis of the tag #pt [Portuguese language community]
Hello Steemians, today I like to share my Analysis over the #pt Tag Category.
The #pt stands for 'Portuguese' as a LANGUAGE. You may think it refers to the Portugal country but it is not the case here.
The tag was raised by a group of people from several countries who have the Portuguese as native language (Brazil,Portugal, Timor leste, Angola, etc.).
They are organized in a few projects like @brazilians , @camoes and @gazetagaleguia(Galician language - The Galeguía concept is the proposal made by Aline Frazao to bring together all those countries and groups that lived Portuguese colonialism not to use the term (according to what sensibilities, offensive) of Portuguese language (lusofonia)

As a Brazilian myself I want to contribute to the community with this analysis, I think it holds critical information that many authors would like to know, same way as I was curious about it. In Addiction, the Analysis presents the evolution of the category #pt since it came up.

Authors and Posts
Category #pt
156 Authors found since JUN 17
2562 Posts found since JUN 17
First I want to show the evolution of #pt since they kick started:
Above we can see one huge rise in the number of posts, but not that much in the numbers of authors. Post count raised 58 times while Authors count raised just 6.8 times. In December, authors and posts numbers seems to be more proportional.
Now let's check the distribution of posts among the authors:
Only this month:
We can see by the last two charts above that few users like to post a lot more than others, I would guess that is a normal thing. But also can point to high levels of concentration in the rewards.
Let's check UpVotes and Comments under the tag #pt:
We can notice here one big difference in the UpVote/Comment count comparison. Number of UpVotes reaches the 17 k line in October and retracts 5 k in december. Unexpected since both post and authors count went up. We have more posts, more authors but less Upvotes in December. We will see next that having less upvotes on the #pt doesn't necessary mean less rewards.
Ranks & Rewards #pt:
Total Payout since JUN 17 - 9.161,05
Total Authors Payout - 6.618,36
Total Curators Payout - 2.542,69
As I stated before, above we can see the payout value kept climbing even with less upvotes numbers. Maybe this can be explained if we think how much sbd and steem price went up in the last 2 months. I would like to know another opinions tho.
In the chart above we can realize the community is not growing fasts as we imagine before, in truth only the top 5 payout authors retain 80% of all payout value of the #pt category . Going deeper I like to compare this rank:
Top 20 Posts in Total Payout - December 2017
As we can see above nothing unexpected. I wonder if this authors are getting so much of the % payout in the #pt because they use, in all of their posts, #pt as first tag. Instead others who prefer set #pt as a second tag (As I mention before the Tag Category analysis is only for the first tag used, because is the tag that steem registers as main category).
To finish, I believe that if the #pt community continues united, organized and supported by others community's of steemit we will have a great future stored for us! This kind of analysis is crucial to measure our size, our reach, possibilities and threats. My intention is provide to the #pt community one monthly report just like these one. That's why I honestly ask for your feedback, looking forward to improve the quality of the analysis.
Bonus: List with the most used tags to accompany the #pt Category
End of Analysis
That's all for today. I hope you all enjoyed.

Moito obrigado pola analise, @lpessin ...
Thank you for the contribution. It has been approved.
This would make an interesting monthly analysis, with an additional focus on the monthly activities. It is good to compare with previous data, and project some possible future outcomes too.
It is interesting that the rewards have continued to climb with the price of Steem, but the number of up-votes has fallen this past month.
I would would also like to hear some more theories on this - unless you are calculating for the up to day 26th of December - perhaps this would look different at the end of the month?
Again, a monthly report at the end of the month/start of the following month would work here.
Thanks @lpsessin!
