Beer and kilts

in #beersaturday7 years ago

This #BeerSaturday post starts off with one of my own beers, a toasted coconut brown ale with a bit of chai added.

Pretty tasty although the one we tested wasn't very carbonated. Have to try a full one soon.

Then, at the end of the week, we went to our favorite brewery, Lolo Peak. I had a coconut vanilla stout. Quite smooth and very good with a hint of coconut and vanilla flavors. My wife had the wheat ale.

Tonight we went to a Burns Night Dinner. It is a celebration of the poet of Scotland, Robert Burns. There were drinks:

And kilts:

This is a great post, has a little bit of everything in it, to include haggis LOL Your homebrew sounds interesting, does the chai spice come through at all in the taste?

It came through as a additional spice flavor, adding some interesting complexity to the beer. We haven't had a chance to try a fully carbonated one, this one was a half full bottle and we put it aside to be the initial tester. In general, I rather liked the chai addition to this one.
