On my last walk, I decided to explore the charming village of Bibury in the Cotswolds region of England. As I strolled along the picturesque streets, I was struck by the beautiful stone cottages with their honey-colored walls and thatched roofs. The village is known for its quaint and quintessentially English atmosphere, and I couldn't help but feel like I had stepped back in time.

I made my way to Arlington Row, a row of weaver's cottages dating back to the 17th century. The cottages are now owned by the National Trust and are a popular spot for visitors looking to capture the essence of traditional English village life. The tranquil River Coln flows gently past the cottages, adding to the idyllic scene.

As I continued my walk, I came across the charming Bibury Trout Farm, one of the oldest trout farms in the country. It was fascinating to learn about the history of the farm and see the ponds teeming with rainbow and brown trout. I even stopped by the farm shop to pick up some fresh trout for dinner later.

One of the highlights of my walk was meeting a local resident who was walking her dog along the river. She shared with me some interesting stories about the history of Bibury and recommended a few hidden gems in the area that I should visit next time. It was wonderful to connect with someone who had such a deep love for her village and its heritage.
