Cook With Us #26 - Raw Food: A Strawberry Symphony
I know the doors have already closed and no one can enter the theatre, but I am doing this just to let you all know that I have not forgotten!
Time just ran away and when I sent hubby out to buy Strawberries yesterday, he came back with gorgeous FROZEN Strawberries BUT I asked for fresh Strawberries and it was a freezing cold day!
This is from our garden, but the monkeys get to them before we do, somehow they missed this!
So hubby being a patient man, went out again and duly bought 2 punnets of beautiful Strawberries which is in season at the moment, but by then it was dinner time and all I wanted was something hot!
This morning there is still a chill in the air, but we have gorgeous sunshine with the promise of some warmth.
Here in Durban, we can have four seasons in one day, especially of late, and I believe climate change has a lot to do with this!
But we're not here to talk about the weather now, we're here to share raw food, and I'll be sharing a Strawberry Symphony Smoothie Bowl with all of you.
We really went totally bananas over strawberries with this, used the smoothie as a dip and had a Strawberry & Banana feast.
I blended frozen Strawberries, Fresh Strawberries, Banana slices and thick double cream Greek Style Yogurt; garnished with Coconut flakes and Chia Seeds this will be more than satisfying to see us through to lunchtime!

Wow, this is so colourful! I love it. Double cream greek yoghurt? What is the percentage of fat in that? I would love to use it, everything is low fat these days 😞
