Waiting for the storm
We're approaching the typhoon season in Taiwan and today we've been expecting Typhoo Bauli to make landfall on the island. Although the typhoon is categorised as the weakest according to the Taiwan weather bureau, it has still caused a bit of disruption particularly on the east side of the island. Flights have been cancelled and many people were moved in case there was flooding. I live on the on the west side of the island and normally we're not too affected by the typhoon as we're protected by the central mountains from north to south.
My flat faces the east and when I looked out of the window this morning, the sky looked different from normal. I thought maybe the storm is going to get us this time. I set up my Go Pro to do a time lapse, hoping to capture whatever mother nature decideds to throw at us.
Turns out the storm never made it here, but I did capture 5 hours of time lapse which I've condensed into a couple of minutes. The clouds were truly mesmerising to watch.
