I am so ashamed that this nation failed you. And fail you it did. May your soul find the compassion and comfort that was not shown to you by the politicians who just didn’t give a damn. Some remaining Americans, like me, thank you for your sacrifice and realize the debt owed to you.
God Bless this man for his courage and inner strength to speak out. Our hearts were breaking while watching him speak before the Congressional Panel that day, knowing it was pure physical torture for him to be there. But he knew he HAD to.

It breaks my heart that a person who sacrificed for others has died while the politicians running this country serve only themselves and their own interests. May he rest in peace, and may those greedy "officials" who lack compassion on other living beings experience torment in the 4th, 6th, 8th, and 9th Circles of Hell.
The good all too often die young when the dregs of society never pay. McConnell didn't cause this tragedy but he was reminded of the horrors of it recently and decided to play politics with it rather than be humane. What kind of voters keep this monster in office when they knew all along that he was evil? Is it a matter of better the devil you know than the one you don't? Do it right next time. You're not the only ones who have to live with your irresponsible choices.

This man, on the very brink of death, came to Congress to testify. He should not have had to plead for care for the 9/11 First Res ponders. I am ashamed of our Congress, and most particularly of our president and his toadies. May God rest the soul of Luis Alvarez, and all the heroes who thought nothing of themselves but of their brothers and sisters in responding to the 9/11 crisis.
