My Actifit Report Card: July 22 2019

I would like to detail my activities today and explain some of my thoughts about my creative process.

Today's step count was from doing some yard work and playing nine baskets of disc golf with my son. He won by three strokes and I ended up with two over par. I don't mind not winning but I felt like I missed a few easy putts and was not concentrating as well as I would have liked.

I also used some photo reference from a local disc golf course from an overhead view provided by Google Maps.

Creative Process

In any creative work I've done I noticed that I need to get involved in doing things in little steps. I can easily just slip into not actively creating much and find other ways of entertaining myself.

Sometimes I will start doing a project and never finish it. Sometimes it will start going in a completely different direction than the original intent. For example: I took the photo originally with the intention of trying to create a graphic to explain the air flow over a disc during the power part of the flight. Because creative coin started appealing to me the photo kind of turned into the basis for a digital art work.

Writing something each day really helps me out in my creative process.

I think it is good to share things too once in a while.

I usually don't post twice in one day but I thought I would split things up a bit more in part because it seems like Actifit posts are generally thought of as being simple reports.
