My Actifit Report Card: April 28 2019
I did a lot of gardening today, clearing weeds, planting seeds and moving the portable garden boxes around and setting them up. I harvested some rhubarb too. You can see a couple of leaves I pulled out of the plant. With this plant it is easiest to just gently pull out the leaves from the stalk.
Here's a close-up of the part that you eat. You don't want to eat the leaves they are poisonous. (I'm not sure how poisonous but I've heard you should not eat them) The stalks make an excellent sauce with a little bit of sugar and some cooking. It is a nice sweet and sour tasting sauce that I like to eat in the springtime. You can make good pies with rhubarb too.
I also rode my bike to the store to go shopping and played disc golf as usual. The game went pretty well but there were a lot of people in the park so we worried about hitting kids with the disc. It could hurt a lot with the hard plastic they are made from. The wind make it hard to make accurate throws but the weather was very nice - sunny and warm but not too hot.

The wind was just crazy here yesterday. Four boats washed up in False Creek. My mom was wowed by the force. The rhubarb looks great. I used to love that stuff as a kid. I would eat it without sugar. I wonder how it would be juiced. I'm thinking rhu-ade. I just got done juicing limes and so you can tell where my mind is.
I'll bet rhubarb would be nice juiced. You can just eat it plain but it is a bit sour. It was more of a steady wind today and fairly strong but from the sound of things not as much as you had yesterday.
Things are back to normal now. A beautiful sunny day awaits:)

I think the smartphone camera does a nice job on these type of images. Some of them I occasionally do touch up in Photoshop Express or GIMP.
Yeah I can see having to worry about hitting a kid would kind of take some of the fun out of it.
Yes, that would not be good. Hitting cars is not fun either or throwing discs out of bounds into the ball park during the ball games. Lucky for me I have avoided such things thus far... Knock on wood.

Fresh rhubarb is awesome. I make a pretty good strawberry-rhurbarb cobbler. I hope someone brings me some this year! We have a disc golf set up in our park but I've never tried it, I think it would take a lot of skill to hit those baskets. But is looks like fun.

It is kind of a vegetable that you eat the stalk of. It is hard to explain what it tastes like if you have not tried it. It makes a good sauce and pies if you add some sweetener and other fruit.
