My Actifit Report Card: April 23 2019
I did a lot of gardening today and mowed the lawn and rode my bike to the store for groceries. I also played disc golf with my son as usual. I scored a little better today than yesterday with a five over par on nine baskets.
It was a nice evening with a lot of people playing baseball. With a big crowd like that I really try not to throw out of bounds or around the right side of the ball park sign.
Here's some mushrooms I saw growing tonight under a tree on the disc golf course:
When I was gardening I harvested some stinging nettles and made some tea:
This time of year the nettles taste nice. They are supposed to be really good for you. I'm thankful that they just starting growing in my yard but I had to trim a lot of them back. The like to spread out over the yard but I don't like more than a small patch of them around. You have to careful not to get stung by them.
I was working around the office a lot too. I've kind of made an executive decision and decided that I really don't like running Windows 7 any more. It is not that I don't like the product but I have had a run of bad luck purchasing and learning high priced software that I haven't really made much return on.
I'm ready to move on and do some more work on open source software for a change. That way I can build the program over again if I change operating systems in the future.

You will have to keep us updated on the use of your open source programs. I think most people would benefit from more choice. The mushrooms were pretty. I wish I had confidence in knowing which ones were edible.
There were some free courses on mushroom collection being offered but I didn't end up going. Sometimes I find out about things too late. I'm not as familiar with the ones that grow in this area but some of them I can identify.

The potatoes are just starting to come up. There are lots of snails in the garden right now though so I'm not sure how well it will do. I'm glad I have the store to get my food from.
I have not had to mow yet, but it is on the horizon I am sure. I dont do any developing like you do, but I do like to try and find free and open source options like Gimp or LMMS or Open Office when I can.
The lawn has been growing a lot recently. It should slow down as the rainy season starts to dry out and it gets hotter. Open source is a much better business model imho.
