JOULESTEEM Charging Efficiency Tests - Post #14

You never cease to amaze me; we can only wonder how you understood things, even if words are seldom there……...

WHY DO WE NEED TO TEST THE CHARGING CAPABILITIES

For a thorough understanding on this post as it relates to my previous rundown post, just read the link to the said post below.

Why a charger together with the lighting? In direct saying, this will be for self-sufficiency purposes plain and simple. Imagine a light that will never fade, isn’t this what all others before our generation seek? This is just another way to have something that will truly run for a very long time, a battery while running is charging another battery, and cross our fingers, may the charge battery be able to replace the source battery when its time of reckoning comes. It was the maestro “JOHN BEDINI” who threw this brilliant idea at the forums, and to be honest I did not even travel the said path at first, forcibly groping my way into the darkness of the jungle of backyard experimentations. It was only when I exhausted all efforts for a “loopback to source” method that I remembered the humble maestro. How foolish I am to not heed, but as the saying goes, “it is not the number of fails that is important, but it is the few times that you realize you are wrong.” I do not have to be a fool forever, I came to my senses, assembled a few good thoughts and found the perfect combination of a lighting circuit with a charger, with a fully-looping potential.

So again, we need to test the charging efficiency of the JOULESTEEM circuit to be very sure that we can run this small circuit for a very very long time as it lights up a 220 volt LED bulb. If you ask me how long? Then I will answer that is why I need you to see for your self the result of the experiment, you be the judge because I will just publish the results for the world to see.

THE APPROACH

We need to approach the charging efficiency test at a start point for the charge battery, and what better way to start charging than with a fully depleted battery. A fully depleted battery should be at 9 volts in our case, as the battery I will use is the “modified” type the maestro Bedini style. Don’t worry I will dedicate a series of posts and experiments for this type of batteries, but for now let us just focus on our lighting circuit as arranged the JOULESTEEM way.

We need to know how much gain in voltage the charge battery have, the best way is to have increments of three hours since this is also the time that we intend to substitute the source battery and the charge battery.

We also need to know what is the CCA (Cold-Cranking Amps) of the charge battery after 3 hours of charging as the real power of a battery is really on its CCA, not the voltage reading. Voltage reading for a battery can give us an idea of its capability to take any charge, but to test how much of a charge (meaning its real power) it really gives off, then the CCA is our best bet. So if this is the case, we need also to check the CCA at the starting point before we will charge the charge battery.

Lastly and this is very important, we need to check if the circuit is running cold or hot during the charging time, including the charge battery. This will give us a very good idea what kind of an energy we are using for such unique charging method.

THE EXPECTATIONS

I expect the JOULESTEEM to run efficiently in charging the charge battery, as enumerated:

-The charge battery will be charged after 3 hours of continuous operation of the JOULESTEEM circuit, with good increases in voltage gains every hour approaching the 3 hour mark
-I expect for the CCA after the 3 hour charging time to increase thereby showing proof that the charge battery is really charged
-As always with this type of radiant energy runs, the transistor, the inductor and the charge battery will display a cold temperature during the charging test period
