A few hours ago, China’s state-run news agency Xinhua unveiled the AI-powered anchor at China’s World Internet Conference. Imagine the reaction from the live anchors…



Well, they can joke… for now:

But the people already have left a reasonable question in the comments:

A robotic anchor that presents whatever news is programmed into it? How is that different from any other corporate news anchor?

The answer is simple:

This anchor has Intelligence, at least in its AI designation 😄
