I am observing an increased activity by the scammers, hackers and spammers lately.

The Internet isn't the same place it was before Covid, and the change isn't in a better direction, I am afraid.

Thankfully, I was paying enough attention and no harm has been done to any of my accounts or friends, so far...

We all have to be more vigilant, spend more time and energy and trust less and less.

More importantly, always use 2FA (two-factor-authentication). Without authorization on a second device, all would be lost, sooner or later.

So first, I got an SMS on my phone.

I haven't used Facebook recently so that's definitely some malicious user trying to login and/or change my password to gain access.

I changed my FB password, better safe than sorry. A half of hour completely and utterly lost...

To be honest, I've been thinking lately, I better delete my FB account. I don't like the energy of that "space" anymore!

Next... Earlier today. Someone tried to hack my Grass Foundation account.

Of course, I haven't requested one-time pass. Definitely, someone else.

Perhaps you haven't heard about Grass. Shortly, this is a decentralized project that rewards users crypto for sharing their internet connection. Truth is, the big tech companies like Google and Microsoft do something similar, but guess what - they keep 100% of the rewards for themselves ;) I have a small app on my PC that runs in the background and I have to login sometimes when it upgrades. I wasn't quite optimistic about Grass but then my rewards for 2024 appeared to be slightly above USD 400 once I converted my share to stable coins and paid the gas fees ;)
