Adobe Photoshop is no doubt a viable tool in making, creating and editing raster images. Although it's scope and use case is broad and broader than just making designs.
Adobe Photoshop software was created and designed by Thomas and John knoll in 1988. It was later sold out in 1989 to Adobe system and who then marketed it with a license as "Photoshop". Like I said earlier this software has now become an household name as far as raster graphic design and editing is concerned.
One notable feature is that it uses layering in designing, creating and editing raster images. It also has the filter feature and support different colour models Suh as CMYK,RGB, Duotone, Spot colour, Lap colour space.
A Photoshop file especially when it's a work in progress can have an extension such as PSD and PSB. Psd means "Photoshop Documents" while Psb means "Photoshop Big".
Interface.
Photoshop Tools.
