Fort Saint Angelo

This is Fort Saint Angelo or better known as Forti Sant'Anglu. It was built during the Bronze Age and over time it was enlarged by the Romans and other colonizers who came after them. The fort we see now standing nowadays have been built largely by the Knights of Saint John. Around a few years ago this fort has been restored and it has a new look as seen in the picture below. Fortunately enough this summer i had the pleasure of going there and see the inside of such a magnificent structure. Behind the fortress one can see the cities of Birgu, Kalkara and Bormla.
