DO NOT watch “ALTERED CARBON” on NETFLIX.
....unless you don’t wanna watch one of the BEST TV series EVER!
That’s right! I’m quite fussy regarding new series (so much shite has come out of Netflix the past year), but this one... this one got me stuck to it from ep. 1!
Synopsis (from rottentomatoes.com):
Society has been transformed by new technology: consciousness can be digitized; human bodies are interchangeable; death is no longer permanent. Takeshi Kovacs is the lone surviving soldier in a group of elite interstellar warriors who were defeated in an uprising against the new world order. His mind was imprisoned -- on ice -- for centuries until Laurens Bancroft, an impossibly wealthy, long-lived man, offers Kovacs the chance to live again. In exchange, Kovacs has to solve a murder... that of Bancroft himself.
In a nutshell: cyberpunk, engaging, never boring, futuristic, spectacular.
Give it a shot... NOW!
I can't believe that is true!... but I also couldn't believe it wasn't butter. No really. That stuff was actually butter right?
I have to disagree, i was really excited for the series when the trailer dropped and i watched the first two episodes, i found them so confusing and even though i though the theme and idea was great, they managed to over complicate it but having these multiple characters but spend little time on them meaning i was confused constantly as to what he was doing
I agree on some things. At the beginning can be over complicated with little emphasis on all the various characters... BUT, there’s a reason for that!
Don’t wanna go into “spoiler alert” mode but there’s a reason for everything. Even for what you are saying ;)
I’d say give it until ep. 5 and everything will be way clearer.
hmmm maybe but by that point I wasn't paying attention, probably my own fault but i just felt the nudity added nothing to it and just some of the things he did just didn't make any sense. I did really like the review even if i disagree :) do you mind checking out my recent reviews? https://steemit.com/review/@kph/star-trek-discovery-review-no-spoilers
