building a resilient ecological durable shelter for my family

**Project's goal :** Funding a cheap, resilient, ecological shelter for my family

**Already achieved :** Found and bought piece of land, paid architect, permit request sent to urbanism, incomodo set on property (green paper visible in video).

**To succeed :** Max 125K€ to fund the building

**Explanations :**

In Belgium, you are not free to build the house you want, where you want on your own, you need an architect, an urbanism permit, so you must follow tons of rules which make the costs reach the roofs

If you want a decent house, here, you need to pay from 250K€ up to undecent amounts. So, I searched unconventional, but acceptable, ways to build a shelter.

My first thoughts went to straw or wood, but the demands are so high, that the prices climb very fast to reach conventional houses prices.
We needed to find even more unconventional...

**Found it :** Containers's house

3XL containers together make a decent 100m² house. The architect was able to make a correct design :

• hidden in nature, as it's underground
• 3 bedrooms
• bathroom
• living space + kitchen
• tiny office

The final result would be a tight space to live, but confortable enough, and on our land that solution makes it possible to reach autonomy

• few fees
• ability to grow food
• ability to manage water and electricity

I planned to make this project on my own, as many of us, but the economical situation went to a catastrophe. Lost my job due to boss' bankruptcy, and my wife lost her's as she went tru a severe burn out.

#### Now I have two choices .

1- find a way to fund it, with steemians and fundition
2- prepare to move under a bridge

Altogether, I am not someone to give up, I'll fight my way to my shelter, but if any of you is willing to help saving my family, I would be more than thankful.
