Just to share some experiences and results on my journey to a ketogenic diet + IF16:8

Pic #1:
June 2016, 80+kg on a low fat low carb diet w lean meat and cardio 3x a week; lost minimal weight and the rebound after a cheat day was bad. Constantly hungry and low in energy.

Pic #2:
August 2016, Hovering between 73-76kgs on an Atkins and Paleo style diet. Low fat. 5-6x cardio & started lifting gym sessions a week. Started counting macros and calories. Energy level was better but hungry all the time so weight fluctuation was huge.

Pic #3:
Stopped gym since July 2017, took on strict ketogenic diet and added 16:8 Intermittent Fasting. Starting weight 73kg, current weight 63.7kgs and still dropping. I don’t count calories anymore, just ensure my ratio of 70% good fats, 25% protein & 5% carbs from green leafy veges only. Weight maintenance is a breeze.. zero cravings for carbs and rice now. Even a hard drinking session throws me off ketosis for barely half a day.. (tested w Ketone pee strips). Other benefits:

• zero lethargy / tiredness ever
• incredulous amounts of energy
• next level brain focus and mental strength
• ZERO supplements or vitamins needed
• no issue w the toilet even w my minimal greens intake; I take a “biggie” every 1-2 days w zero feeling of constipation
• no more hunger pangs, have tried 24 hours not eating, body had zero issues
• no gastric problems
• I now eat no more than 2 meals a day, sometimes 1 huge one
• no loss of muscle mass; apart from being inactive in the gym since July
• my skin is glowing
• body fat % dropped more than 5-7% since July with ZERO gym..

I am halfway through my goals since July but just thought I would share..
