''Seeking Knowledge''

in #life9 years ago

I first heard about Steemit from a few trusted sources of mine. The idea sounded pleasant and something one with interests such as mine would be keen to join and be a contributing part of.

Few weeks ago, my girlfriend returned from Iceland and brought me a copy of Hávamál, Old Norse poem from the Viking age. Poem itself contains numerous verses and is surprisingly practical. According to the legends, it was also written by Odin the Wanderer himself, so the readers be ready for the otherworldly wisdom I'm about to share.

The short poem is titled ''Seeking Knowledge'' and I think it's perfect for the occasion of entering a new platform - or a new realm for that matter.

''The cautious guest
who comes to the table
speaks sparingly.
Listens with ears
learns with eyes.
Such is the seeker
of knowledge.''
