Preserving Mangoes
Mangoes are fruits that can be preserved for decorating dishes and to be eaten with icecreams, they are children´s favorite
Preparation:
Steps to follow for the whole process
Prepare the sirop with 2 cups of sugar and 2 cups of water, más 1 teaspoon of glucose and 1/2 teaspoon of citric acid, till it forms bubbles.
Sterilize two tars for about 30 minutes and introduced the lids in alcohol 70%.
- Pass the slices of mangoes through the sirop just for 1 minute, don´t cook
- Put everything you need on the table
- Accommodate the slices in the tars, without leaving spaces
- Add the sirop slowly and becareful don´t burn, it is too hot
- Introduce a knive sterilized in the tars to let the bubbles come out
- Clean the tars borders with paper wet with alcohol, and put the lids in alcohol to sterilize. Don´t put the plastic lids in hot water because they can twist
- Take the lids with clamps and shake them in the air to dry the alcohol and cover the tars, place the tars in a pan with warm water, so that you won´t have a thermal shock, sterilize for 30 minutes boiling.
- Take out and put upside down on a clean cloth till it is cold, level and decorate.
- It can be kept up to a year, and I advise to eat after 15 days
You must choose mature mangoes but firms, everything must be clean and sterilize.

ooh this looks fabulous! I love LOVE mangoes. I don't know if I will try this, but I do hope to taste it one day!
@princessmewmew thaks for your comment, I hope you will do it. in Venezuela there are mangoes everywhere and many people don´t like them because they bring too many flyes. Where I live nearly every house have a tree full of them.
