God as Game Designer
There
is a generally negative view towards deterministic models of spacetime, and the reason is the illusion of free choice.
In fact, what you do depends on what you know. Even when you "throw caution to the wind" and make a big decision on a hunch, the human brain runs two processes, the conscious and the unconscious.
The Wishgranter from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl
These are like applications and services in a computer operating system. If you know how to trigger their programs, you can enable notifications that guide you to opportunity.
We build computer systems to augment our minds. But our brains are excellent computers also.
It is just that the consciousness process is quite narrow. You don't have to think about most of the physical movements you make once you acquire them.
But once, you did.
Now, they are processed by the subconscious.
The Power of Game Theory
Game theory is central to cryptography, military theory, politics and business.
When you approach life as something like one of those games where there is quests, actions and items involved in finding the access to the next level, leveling up, you learn also there is another thing games have: Designers, and they add hints sometimes, but you have to know how to invoke them.
Whether you call it God, the Subconscious Mind, or whatever, there is a vast computer system between your ears that senses all kinds of signals and attempts to find the structure, in causal, geometric and network maps, that can find data even the most incredible supercomputer system could observe with massive amounts of inputs measuring the world cannot, and probably never will.
My analogy of God as a game designer is intended to evoke the understanding that games are interesting, even addictive.
The game world has strict rules, but it only sucks when you don't know them.
Knowledge is Power
So finding knowledge is the root and prerequisite. Knowledge gives "freedom" which is another way of saying, enabling you to make better results from the same ingredients.
Over time, knowledge accretes and sometimes it can be lost but once found, it can be found easier next time because though the evidence just isn't as obvious, the evidence of the previous knowledge is there to be found.
Knowledge comes from asking questions, and questions come from knowledge. Speaking the questions out loud is how you open the terminal to the services running in the background. Later they will return with data usually in the form of noticing something you may have before missed otherwise, had you not put the request into the Subconscious.
God as Game Designer makes happiness and joy possible within the structure, which you find by adapting to it.
It shows the importance of knowledge and the faith in the principle that all the pieces needed to level up are there, if you ask to find them, you will sooner or later notice things that open doors. Hints, even, sometimes.
Sometimes a seeming doom that evaporates suddenly, like a warning, you make a decision and results are overwhelming, and the odds were way against you by most metrics.
The true meaning of Faith
Faith means holding always the assumption that all you will face has a purpose and produces good if you can see it.
Recognising the "big picture" holistic subconscious mind's function as a kind of servant or connection to the underlying code, you can faster find the way to open the door to something.
You would not see this if you didn't remember that it is a game. You wouldn't want to play a game that is regressive, you want to expand, and so if it is a game, then it must be a good one, or you wouldn't be playing.
We can't stop here! This is Whale country!

If you have some free time, please see this post not specifically related to God as a game designer, but, kind of https://steemit.com/beyondbitcoin/@cryplectibles/are-we-living-in-a-simulation
Well, as a model it works for me, anyway, and makes sense of more than any other model I have used to understand life. I know that there is a certain sneering attitude of the 'hip' intellectual crowd that nihilism and relativism are superior to apodictic logic and axiomatic models and rule based systems in general, are remarkably powerful tools in discovering technologies that do things 800 years ago might have put you on a burning stake...
It's a great game for sure.
Thank you @10k1 for this excellent post.
If one may be permitted to add to the resulting dialogue.
You have referred to The God.....without sneering....a definite no...no... in the world today. And yet...a casual look at history would show anyone that He was the foundation of the thinking of many great minds. Ie. Issac Newton....Bach...Handel...Margaret Thatcher....Winston Churchill , etc. And whilst history can prove that there were many who did not believe in The Living God...They did believe in deities greater then themselves and yet today...man is generally convinced that he has no need for God...interestingly
satan the first sinner had the same thought...he said to himself...I will be like the most high...found in the book of Isaiah.
The Giver....The Creator without Whom there would be only darkness, hate and evil. For He is Good...absolute Good forever.
In Gods plan...the freewill of man and the sovereignty of God coexist in human history.
Principle: When we reject the Giver....we cannot appreciate the Gift.
No appreciation....no capacity for life.
Thank you for the opportunity to express thought and ponder these things.
Sorry to hear you are feeling poorly. Wishing you all the best.
I am feeling much better now, thanks 😁
With the discovery of chaos and game theory, there is a path to a logical understanding of the nature of the divine. If life is a game, it is a gift, a service to us, the players. The game is made for us to enjoy, and the better you understand the rules the more fun you can have.
Glad to hear you are feeling better @lok1.
Yes....God has a plan/a game plan for human history...we live between the eternities. God knew that satan would wrest the rule of the world from the first man...Adam. He had a plan in eternity past...a salvation solution. He is a 'gentleman'....He will not coerce man's volition. ....For God loved the world so much that He gave His uniquely born Son that anyone who believes on Him shall not perish but have eternal life. It is faith alone in Christ alone for salvation. The issue is Christ...do you accept or reject God's salvation solution for mankind. Once you accept His plan for mankind...beginning with salvation...as He is not willing that any should perish. Then the fun begins...He is has a game plan for each one of us. It is the best life.
