Why overlook the big picture?
"I can't keep this pregnancy" Stacy said with tears rolling down her chin. Stacy is a young third year student of a prestigious university and she is happily married.
She just took in but didn't want to keep the baby because she thought keeping the baby is going to be stressful for her as a student. Stacy decided to opt for an abortion,she succeeded in making her husband see reasons with her why she should terminate the pregnancy,so her husband gave her his consent.
Stacy decided to inform her elder sister "Stella" of her decision to terminate the pregnancy. But she strongly kicked against the idea. Stella said "Stacy look at the big picture,you are happily married and this unborn child has the right to live,with regards to coping with the stress of taking care of this child while in school,I can help you with that,I am here for you. Who knows,this might be the only child you will ever have and if you abort this pregnancy,you may not have another child"

It's 25 years into Stacy's marriage and she has only one child "Derrick",the child she nearly gave up on.
Moral Lesson
Most times we tend to overlook the big picture when making our choices. We only consider the trouble of today and forget the comfort of tomorow. We forget to carefully look at the advantages and disadvantages of the choices we are about to make.
It is pertinent that for every choice we make with regards to any situation in our lives,we should look at the big picture(the situation in a whole) and consider the advantages and disadvantages of the choice we are about to make.In the process,it is also wise that we talk our choice through with a family member or friend just like Stacy did,they may have a different perspective of the situation and may remind us of the need to look at the big picture just like Stella did for Stacy!
Conclusion
Pay attention to the big picture which includes the ability to always think things through because every choice has its consequences and so we should not be in a hurry to decide on matters that will affect our chances in the future and seek professional counsel on very important issues!

Yes very true. Sometimes when we are too stressed with the problem, we are so caught up in the stress, that we forgot to step out from the circle and look things at a different perspective. So its good to have circle of wise influence when we are about to make important decisions, at times they can save us from making stupid decisions. Thanks for sharing this @kweenbrand :)
