My entry for the 🌸 FLOWER POWER PHOTO CONTEST BY FLAMINGIRL 🌸 ~ Wood Sorrel
Do weeds count? My next entry for the #FlowerPower photo contest led by @flamingirl are these yellow wood sorrel petals. I thought they were beautiful flowers, but apparently they are common weeds. Their scientific name, Oxalis, literally means "sour" and indicates that they contain oxalic acid like broccoli and spinach. They are edible, and are also medicinal, containing a large amount of vitamin C. If you want to join the Flower Power Photo Contest, you can check the rules here.

They certainly count for me, especially when they are that lovely! Beautiful photo!
You're too kind. I took a flower picture today with you in mind:
The pistil and stamen are blurry, but look at their shadow!
An exquisite capture of a very beautiful weed @kunschij 🌺
Thank you kindly :-)
My pleasure! 🌺
Let's not be too particular. :-) It's a lovely 'flower', beautiful colours and a very nice shot.
