“Man Cave”
I didn’t really hear the expression of “Man Cave” in Japan but almost all men have their spots as a hobby room or something. In Canada, of course people like to use the word “Man Cave.” At hardware stores or shopping molls, there is a lot of stuff for Man Caves. Men hang out in the special comfortable room full of hobby stuff such as games, comics, plastic models, sports stuff and more.
I saw these cool Japanese swords, knives, decorations and neon lights at the shopping moll the other day. I’m not a man but I love to check this kind of stuff for fun. I used to collect my hobby stuff way before but not anymore. Do you have your Man Cave?

日本では、“マンケーブ”という表現をあまり耳にしませんでしたが、ほとんどの男性は趣味のスペースや部屋的な場所があるのではないでしょうか。カナダでは、もちろん“マンケーブ“という表現を使うのがみんな好きなようです。ホームセンター、工具店やショッピングモールなどでは、たくさんのマンケーブ用商品が売られています。世の男性たちは、ゲーム・漫画・プラモデル・スポーツグッズなどなどあらゆる趣味の品々に囲まれ快適な場所で過ごします。
先日、ショッピングモールで日本刀モデルやナイフ、ネオンサインなどのグッズを見ました。私は男性ではありませんが、こういったものをながめるのが好きです。ずいぶん昔は色々集めたりしていました。みなさんは自分のマンケーブがありますか？
haha. good question, the answer is not so rich: NO! I simply dont have space for that. I dont have room for books, for my dress (i try to restrict myself to a little supply) and I dont have even room for posters on the walls.
all can be considered as my 'cave' is: some boxes.. and more boxes.. and a little more boxes with collected stuff (clippings, magazines, fanzines, CDs and burned DVDs of archives).

That sounds very cool. I don’t have my room but I have many favorite spots everywhere in my house and outside of my house.

日本語では隠れ家？的な感じでしょうか。でもマンケーブの方が男の人っぽさがありますね。仕事部屋のマンケーブもステキですね^_^ たくさん面白そうな物がありそうです。
