“Clifford and My Dog”
Just before getting my dog last year, I was telling my husband ‘I wonder about our next dog’s size. I hope we don’t get Clifford the Big Red dog.’ That was just my silly comment I thought before I met my dog. I love the story of “Clifford the Big Red Dog.” I don’t no why I said it but our previous dog was a very tiny french bulldog so maybe I predicted it like that.
When we met my dog, we noticed his paws are pretty big and we found out that his parents were a Mastiff, Whippet, Labrador and Great Pyrenees mix. Literally my comment became the truth. Our dog is going to be a big boy.
Today, we found a toy Clifford at the secondhand store. We decided to give it to our dog. He looks like he likes his new friend Clifford.

昨年犬を飼う前に、なぜか私は“大きい赤いクリフォードみたいな犬が家にやってきたらどうなるだろうか?”などと主人に言ったのです。まだ見ぬ犬に対して軽い気持ちで言った変なコメントのつもりでした。私は大きい赤いクリフォードの物語が好きです。ただどうしてそんなことを言ったのか自分でもよくわからないのですが、前に飼っていた犬が小さなフレンチブルドックだったからでしょうか…。
この犬に初めて会った時、手がものすごく大きなことに気づきました。ウィペット、ピレネー、ラブラドールとマスティフのミックス犬だと判明しました。文字通り私のコメントが真実になったというわけです。この犬は大きくなると。
今日、古着屋さんでクリフォードのぬいぐるみを見つけました。うちに連れて帰って対面させたところ、どうやら気に入ったようです。

あはははは、クリフォードのぬいぐるみ、カワイイです^^
ぬいぐるみのクリフォードはかわいいのですが、実際の大きな犬は、人間のベットを占領しています。笑
